Beeniebae's Playground

Beeniebae’s Playground is the inaugural work in the Playground Archiving series. It presents the first symbolic form through which Beeniebae redefines the playground, not simply as a place for play, but as a space where beings can appear, gather, and exist before being asked to explain why they belong.

Hand-sewn textile objects, each carrying its own shape, color, and character, lean against and overlap one another to form Beeniebae’s representative playground. This arrangement exists only once, as a singular scene.

Created before a place was prepared for them, the soft forms are held within transparent resin, a space made after their arrival. Their volume, seams, and vulnerability remain visible, while the fleeting scene they created together is kept from dispersing.

When the work enters a collector’s space, the collector experiences the joy of keeping close an object they desired, while the work finds a new place and relationship in which to continue existing.
